Melt Banana

Heralded Japanese noise rock band Melt Banana's many varied forms of shrieking cacophony are, unsurprisingly, often referred to as "experimental grindcore." The spastic blasting drumming, the chirp-scream singing, the id-arousing guitar sirens, and angular indie pop moments just add extra ornamentation to the frequent body blows. But what could be surprising is that at least part of tonight's set is said to unveil a new incarnation of the band called Melt Banana Lite that, according to the band's website, will be "free minded, flexible, and more noise."
