Dir. Tim Burton (1985). Eccentric comic Paul Rubens provides a few real chuckles as a whiny nerd in Burton's surrealist fantasy directorial debut. There's some fine weird stuff, a great Elfman score, but not enough of a story to pad it out properly to feature length.
