Love it or hate it, the G train—the subway line that connects Queens to Brooklyn—is having a moment, of sorts. A fresh take on the Miss Subways Pageant, the first-ever Miss G Train Pageant invites New Yorkers of all ages to compete for the Miss G Train crown. Cheer on the contestants as they proclaim their love and admiration (and probably some healthy disdain) for the G. At the end of the night, celebrity judges select an ambassador who can best calm complaining straphangers. As an added perk, the winner's smiling face will be published in the following day's edition of Metro NY. We imagine the advantage will go to the shortest contestant.
