Fuck Buttons

On a music message board a week or so ago, someone summed up the Fuck Buttons live experience so succinctly as to render this entry obsolete: "It was like watching someone hump their email." We're fairly certain it wasn't just a riff on the Bristol duo's unprintable moniker, as the Fuck Buttons can make for tedious viewing, bending and nodding over keyboards for an hour-plus. Their candy-coated white noise is pleasant enough, but not enough to rate a 9.0 on a certain hype-building website; their new album Tarot Sport does brandish new toys in the mix, but there are few tricks for the group. Playing in the heart of Brooklyn's noise scene will make that evident tonight. Here's hoping that openers Growing and Eric Copeland are good enough sports to not Twitter mid-set.
