SCREEN TO STAGE

Mary, mother of Broadway

For once, instead of a New York theater star nabbing a spot on Law & Order, a Law & Order star is taking to the stage. OK, so B.D. Wong was a Tony winner for M. Butterfly long before he became SVU's Dr. George Huang, but still, it's all about reciprocity this holiday season. Which is why Wong will be joined by a slew of other talented folks for A Very MARY Holiday, a concert benefiting the Ali Forney Center (the homeless LGBT youth services organization to which Bea Arthur willed $300k). MC Martin Gould Cummings of Broadway Speaks OUT welcomes songbirds such as Nick Adams, Tituss Burgess, Megan Reinking, and Logo's Jeffery Self and Cole Escola.
Mon., Nov. 30, 8 p.m., 2009
