Nothing on Heap's new-ish Ellipse matches the future-pop ingenuity of "Hide and Seek," the ubiquitous "O Superman" update that's most recently found life as the backing track of Jason DeRulo's smash "Whatcha Say." That said, her way with a computerized harmony and a heart-swelling melody is still pretty impressive; hopefully her unsteady live act has improved since I last saw her.
