Online visual art submissions make it to 10 big screens

Those videos on your lightly trafficked blog aren’t going to get recognition just sitting there, are they? Vimeo’s Eye Candy for Strangers video series is hungry for anything that moves, from short film to animation to music video. Learned Evolution, an “experiential” marketing firm, and Vimeo hand-picked the tastiest video tidbits to be projected on 10 larger-than-life, high-definition screens at the Brooklyn Bowl. At this celebration of up-and-coming visual art, these videos’ creators step away from their computers to meet face-to-face. The night shifts into high gear once the dance frenzy begins—videos continue playing as live music pounds and bodies twist and spin. If you feel overstimulated, Brooklyn Bowl’s frozen margaritas can dull your senses.
