Love as Laughter

The tale of the tape might not have predicted Love as Laughter's conversion. From making lowest-fi pop spazz back there in the '90s, K Shield universe to surviving and evolving over a decade-plus, what began maybe as a half-assed, squeaky tapedeck outgrowth to what was already one of the fantastic but admittedly probably fleeting bands in that Olympia scene (Lync) has transported main man Sam Jayne to the here and now. Really, he runs in Brooklyn these days, and makes mature-ish, satisfying indie for Isaac Brock's record label. Good game, Sam Jayne. Memories are made of this. With Coconuts, Hallelujah, and Ezekial Healy.
