This local electropop duo returned to their indie roots after a brush with Capitol and limited chart success with them on their last album. Their ties to performance art (especially the Wooster Group) are still in place—count on them to haul out singers and dancers for this New Year's gig. Also be glad that they've mostly abandoned electroclash on their latest album. Actually, the record's pretty well timed with Depeche Mode's own comeback.
