RESCUE ME

Nichola McAuliffe’s A British Subject

In a letter to Britain’s then Prime Minister, Mirza Tahir Hussain begged, “Please Mr Blair, take me home. I have suffered enough.” A day after he arrived in Pakistan, Hussain, a British teen, was jailed for murder and sentenced to death. Nichola McAuliffe’s documentary play draws on her husband's interviews with Hussain. Part of the "Brits Off Broadway" festival.
