Asymmetrical shags and shoegaze new-wave had a banner fall in the xx, the young English quartet that became the toast of the CMJ marathon thanks to their enigmatic single "Crystallized" and a self-titled album of similar lithe fare. They went on to sell out Bowery Ballroom and successfully push a live concert on iTunes; for this Empire State jaunt, singer Romy Madley Croft will man the decks in (le) poisson rouge's terrific dance space. Dollars to doughnuts, there will be at least four J.U.S.T.I.C.E. and Joy Division tracks per hour. With VHS or Beta DJ set.
