SHORT & SWEET

Show New York some love—with restraint

Twitter's 140-character limit is a piece of cake compared to the act of condensing a meaningful expression into just six words. But the folks behind SMITH Magazine, who publish six-word stories on themes from love and food to the digital age, are hoping you'll try to write one on their latest theme: The Big Apple in Six Words. Tonight's discussion, which includes a roundtable made up of authors Amy Sohn, (Prospect Park West), A.J. Jacobs (The Guinea Pig Diaries), Ben Yagoda (Memoir: A History), and SMITH editors Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser, will feature readings of bite-size odes to the best city in the world, and everyone is encouraged to share their own. Here's our stab at it: Even trash looks fabulous in NYC.
