Anat Cohen & Dave Scott

This "Brooklyn Jazz Wide Open" series has been going on for awhile, dropping smart little shows in the middle of Boerum Hill. Cohen's clarinet is full of charisma. From the big festivals to the tiny clubs, she seldom leaves a stage without giving her audience a big dollop of pleasure. Trumpeter Scott is an intriguing player whose playing often dedicates itself to a series of nuances (catch his more aggressive violin outfit at Jalopy on the 30th); last year's Nonchalant was a wealth of details. He guests with a team that includes flutist Michel Gentile in today's quintet.
