Despite its overall noir-folk excellence, Vega's 2007 Beauty & Crime didn't make much noise outside the singer's established pack of critical admirers, which may or may not be why she's releasing an album of "imaginative and intimate" reinterpretations next month. For tonight's show, part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, Vega will be joined by guitarist Gerry Leonard, bassist Mike Visceglia, and the Light and Sound String Quartet.
