MOVE OVER, AMY POEHLER

Aziz Ansari is done playing second fiddle

The night I saw Aziz Ansari playing a fruit vendor and cursing out Jemaine in a racist rage on Flight of the Conchords, I knew he'd be a star. Three years later, the 26-year-old comedian has appeared in feature films, playing alongside the likes of Paul Rudd in I Love You, Man and Adam Sandler in Funny People. He's also the star of a new Comedy Central special, Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening. And each week, I tune in to watch Parks and Recreation, not for the lead, Amy Poehler, but for Ansari, who plays her douche-y co-worker Tom Haverford. Catch the comedian tonight at Comix, where they keep adding extra shows (it's up to eight now) to accommodate all his many fans.
