Little Boots

On her surprisingly pleasant disco-derived debut Hands, released overseas last summer and now coming to the States, British electropop songstress Victoria Hesketh offers hedonistic odes to Los Angeles party life and agile hooks produced by members of Hot Chip and Simian Mobile Disco, all the while channeling her inner Santigold and Lady Gaga. Self-aware performance art aside, these eminently danceable keyboards and shamelessly brain-stomping beats should make short work of anybody whose interest in Gaga is due more to her music than to her publicity firm. With Class Actress and Body Language.
