Shepard Fairey’s iconic “Hope” poster for the Obama campaign is, of course, the greatest recent example of how punk culture has helped shape the world we live in. Tonight, learn grassroots DIY tactics for getting your voice heard at Punk Politics Presently, a discussion of the way punk influences today’s political scene, led by two punk veterans—original riot grrrl Allison Wolfe, formerly of Bratmobile, and Mark Anderson, co-founder of the activist organization Positive Force DC, which staged hundreds of benefit concerts by the likes of Fugazi and Q and Not U to raise money for community and activist groups.
