This one's definitely worth leaving work early for. If you didn't score tickets to the sold-out evening performance of Animal Collective's site-specific collaboration with artist Danny Perez, Transverse Temporal Gyrus, in the Guggenheim's rotunda, an afternoon performance has just been added. Not a concert, the piece allows guests to wander freely and immerse themselves in the "psychedelic" environment that includes video projections, costumes, and props, "rendering the band members and performers into intense, visual abstractions."
