Mama's Affair

Dir. Victor Fleming (1921). Although largely forgotten today, her films rarely revived, Constance Talmadge, a glamorous blonde beauty who prefigures Carole Lombard, was a household name in the 1920s, a major star with her own production company, specialized in escapist sophisticated comedy. Helmed in lively fashion by Fleming, this Talmadge vehicle is the diverting story of a young woman's relationship with her selfish, parasitic mother.
