'Blackened Music Series Presents Immortal'

Norway's Immortal are known for introducing black metal's cold and "frostbitten" imagery, something fans will no doubt be longing for in Brooklyn's notoriously hot and sweaty Masonic Temple. It will be worth it, though, since the band returned from a seven-year hiatus last year with the stellar All Shall Fall. It contains some of war-painted frontman Abbath's best guitar work yet and a deeper glimpse into their mythical, icy kingdom of Blashyrkh. And as they proved in at their 2006 NYC date, Immortal also remain one of the best live bands in black metal. With Black Anvil.
