Searching for apartments and/or roommates on Craigslist can be a real bitch. Thankfully, Roommates Wanted is making things a lot easier for us. Their mission statement is: “To give people a chance to meet potential roommates in person, in a non-threatening, group environment, kinda like a single’s event but for roommates.” Organizers do all the dirty work for you—identifying where you want to live and what you’re looking for in an apartment and a roommate—then it’s up to you to exchange info with those who best match your profile. Not bad at all. The days of roommate listings on Craigslist may be over! And if it doesn’t work out, at least you can enjoy the Alligator Lounge’s free pizza and drink specials.
