At only 15, Little Minnie—the main character of Phoebe Gloeckner’s graphic novel The Diary of A Teenage Girl—is growing up way too fast. She’s failing school, hanging out with the wrong crowd, and has begun an affair with her alcoholic mother’s boyfriend. Yikes! Now, writer-performer Marielle Heller is bringing this dramatic tale, set in 1970s San Francisco, to the stage. Heller (who also happens to be married to Jorma Taccone of SNLDigital Shorts fame) stars as the young Minnie, who desperately longs to be loved by anybody. Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel Eckerling direct the teenage angst.
Mondays, Wednesdays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: March 15. Continues through April 12, 2010
