We all know someone like performance artist Shana Moulton's character Cynthia. She's your most anxious friend, with a collection of magic crystals on the shelf, a dream catcher over her bed, and too many books on shamanic healing. Whispering Pines 10 is Moulton's tenth piece about the New Agey hypochondriac Cynthia that blends live performance with hallucinatory video design for trippy and often comic results. Composer-vocalist Nick Hallett provides the operatic score; soprano Daisy Press channels Cynthia's tortured hippie thoughts.
