Fans of this Welsh indie-pop crew have had no shortage of product to ponder since the 2007 release of their Sticking Fingers Into Sockets EP. That said, frontman Gareth Campesinos! told me a few months ago that Romance Is Boring, their unconvincingly titled latest, feels like the band's first real studio album. Translation? Less oppressive grammar-school cheerfulness. Yay! Downside? More dreary, sub-Arcade Fire moodiness. Boo! With "special guests," per the venue's site.
