Graham Parker & the Figgs

Agit-punk pioneer Graham Parker teams tonight with his decade-plus, on-again-off-again collaborators, alt-rockers the Figgs. Parker's latest, Imaginary Television, contains "theme songs" for pseudo–boob tube shows, usually about self-aware middle-aged men reflecting on life—fitting, since he began his career as a nose-thumbing, self-aware young man. The Figgs provide a perfect roughneck backing panorama for the British pub-rock icon's observations, similar to the way Parker's first group, the Rumour, did in the '70s.
