Mother’s Day may have been a couple weeks ago, but tonight, moms are in the spotlight once again at Hot Mama Burlesque. Hostess Raven Snook, a kind of gothic Ethel Merman, leads the pack of reproductive tassel-twirlers for this third-annual showcase where stretch marks are the norm and a command to clean your room never sounded hotter. Other child-bearers taking it off tonight include Camilicious, the Incredible Edible Akynos, Ginger Baker, and Cosmic Girl; Starshine Burlesque star Creamy Stevens, though not a mommy herself, is also lending her talents. And mothers really do know best: They’re holding the event at the soon-to-be-extinct Slipper Room. Revisit the city’s prized burlesque house before the building is demolished this summer.
