Whether they're launching an ad campaign for a fake movie or doing portraits of avatars, Eva and Franco Mattes, the art duo also known as 0100101110101101.org, have shown that the real world doesn't interest them much. Their latest installation, Synthetic Performances, which opened May 15, is a series of re-enactments of historical performances inside the 3-D virtual world of Second Life. Interact with the artists' avatars during the live performances, which connect to the video game from around the world.
