Dir. Jim Finn (2008).
The solitary vanguard of a post-Communist Communist cinema, Jim Finns low-budget features are fastidious, jerry-built re-creations of an ideological fantasyland. Although generally hilarious, these movies are closer to pastiche than parody; the latest, concerning the North Korean ethos of national self-sufficiency, travesties as it embodies the principles articulated by Kim Jong Il in The Birth of Juche-Oriented Cinema Art.
