Last year, when we attended the Figment Festivalvia a free ferry from Battery Park to Governors Island, we unknowingly entered a dream world of tent villages, mini-golf courses, games of tug-and-war, and revelers dancing. And this year's festival, a forum for the creation and display of participatory and interactive art by emerging artists across disciplines, promises to be even more exciting. We can't wait to check out the TypewriterGirls' poetry cabaret, artist Joey Kilrain's painted socks, a bevy of belly dancers, and a new mini-golf course featuring a hole inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Toto, we're not in New York anymore.
