SCREEN CUISINE

Food porn with instant gratification

Foodies and film-o-philes, get ready to meet your ideal pairing. The NYC Food Film Festival, now in its fourth year, has perfected the fine art of "watching what you eat." Thirty-five features of culinary cinema will be accompanied by samples of the succulent fare shown onscreen (because otherwise this could just be cruel). Tonight kicks off with the Great New York City Shuck 'N' Suck, four films and an all-you-can-eat oyster feast at the South Street Seaport. Other tasty morsels not to be missed are the world premiere of Florent: Queen of the Meat Market tomorrow, with exclusive original menu items from the legendary restaurant; the World's First Food-Truck Drive-In Movie on Saturday, where the city's finest food-truck vendors park for the screenings; and the Brooklyn Burger 'N' Beer Garden on Sunday, serving up hearty burgers and brews while you watch Anat Baron's Beer Wars.
