SWEET DEAL

A day of art, music, fashion, and treats

If the weather is right, this is the perfect day to head over to Williamsburg and Greenpoint for two fun outdoor happenings. Crest Fest is the opening-day celebration of the annual Crest Hardware Art Show on Metropolitan Avenue, where you can take in paintings, sculpture, photography, video, and industrial design all inspired by hardware. The festival features an outdoor concert with eight bands and 14 DJs and food for sale by local vendors like Calexico and the Meat Hook. Then make your way to the Greenpoint Backyard Bazaar, co-hosted by beloved indie boutique In God We Trust and The Parlour Brooklyn. The open-air market features local designers as well as antique and vintage clothing vendors. If you can’t make this one, there will be two more bazaars happening later in the summer. ‘Crest Fest’ from noon to 11, Crest Hardware, 558 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, cresthardwareartshow.com/wordpress, free; ‘Greenpoint Backyard Bazaar’ from noon to 6, In God We Trust, 70-72 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-389-3545, greenpointbackyardbazaar.blogspot.com, free
