We eat it with fruit as a kid, down it with vodka in shots in college, and now, as adults, have upgraded it to a level of utmost sophistication: Jell-O art. Back for a second year, the Gowanus Studio Space Jell-O Mold Competitionasks designers "to explore the resilient properties of Jell-O as a design medium and a cultural phenomenon." Competitors battle it out for mold supremacy in the following categories: creativity, aesthetics, structural/sculptural ingenuity, edibility/culinary appeal, and best use and showcase. Tonight's winner scores $400 and other goodies—and we get to eat it! Kelso beer and Jell-O shots will be served along with the Jell-O creations. DJ Allied Master Computer supplies the tunes to jiggle to.
