Circus Aztlan is a family-run traveling show made up of five performers who visit the outskirts of Mexico City. But, due to declining attendance, this creative clans way of life is now in jeopardy. The Tightrope, a documentary by Nuria Ibañez, premiering tonight as a part of the Rooftop Film Summer Series, tells the touching story of this close-knit family, focusing on the familys eldest daughter who is considering leaving the troupe for a real job. But could the group survive without her, and could she survive without the big top? As her mother cautions her, No one will ever applaud you for cooking dinner.
