Known as the husky-vox femme in Peter, Bjorn and John's "Young Folks" and the former lead singer of the Concretes, Sweden solo artist Victoria Bergsman, a/k/a/ Taken By Trees, has recently relocated to NYC, where she is trying her hand at DJing. Tonight she'll play the afterparty for PopGun's Toro y Moi, Body Language, and Idiot Glee bill—but, more importantly, this event celebrates with a free open wine bar. No word yet if her thrilling cover of Animal Collective's "My Girls" will be spun, though the singer's influences are strictly Eastern; last year's East Of Eden was recorded in Pakistan.
