'Sunday Best Presents Alex from Tokyo'
Funny thing about DJ/producer Alex From Tokyo is that, despite projects named Tokyo Black Star and the like, he's actually based in NYC. But it's no cliché that he's "big in Japan" (and in Europe as well), where his brand of melodically nuanced, sumptuously deep house makes him a constant draw overseas. He'll spin an all-too-rare set for the home team tonight at Sunday Best which, after three years alongside the Gowanus Canal, recently and reluctantly moved operations to Brooklyn Fire Proof space out in Bushwick. With residents Justin Carter, Eamon Harkin, and Doug Singer.
