Landmine Marathon+Salome

Out of this stellar lineup of forward-thinking metal groups, Salome is the band to catch. The Virginia trio plays sloth-paced sludgy doom, punctuated by the virile, often whispered vocals of frontwoman Kat, who splits her time between this band and Agoraphobic Nosebleed (a band that plays so fast, they could be called Salome's opposite). The only common thread they share with tonight's headliners, traditional death-metal troupe Landmine Marathon, is that band's equally virile frontwoman who has started to get a reputation for ending shows with bloody noses because she thrashes harder than the audience. With Batillus and Clean Teeth.
