The Gulf of Mexico and its now-blackened coastline, home to our rich fisheries and gorgeous wildlife, are expected to take years to fully recover from the damage caused by the oil spill. Caring group that we New Yorkers are, there have been numerous benefits and protests around town since the disaster started in April, and now here's another excellent way to help: City Winery presents Reclaim the Coast: Oil Spill Benefit, three nights of music with all funds going to the Gulf Restoration Network, which is devoted to rebuilding and restoration relief along the Gulf Coast. Performers tonight include Lucy Wainwright Roche, Richard Barone, Elysian Fields, the Roches, and Mike Doughty, among others.
