Remember the fun of watching cartoons all day long when the Animation Block Party returns with the very best cartoons, music videos, and experimental animation from around the world. The three-day fest opened last night at Rooftop Films's Automotive High School (50 Bedford Avenue) in Williamsburg and continues for the next two days at BAM Rose Cinemas. Today, see two programs of more than 40 shorts, including works by local filmmakers such as Christina Kelly's Huck on the Gowanus, in which a boy and his dog go back in time on the Gowanus Canal, and Robert Kohr's The Lift, about a young woman who gets an unusual lesson in elevator etiquette.
