Thanks to motherhood and an insatiable acting bug, this anomalous folkie-electronica maven has been mostly AWOL for the past decade. That's a shame; even as a solo artist, she has enough warmth, charisma, and personality to win over crowds dozens of times larger than what she'll see at this club gig.
