The Boys of Bummer have a new release set for October, Bubblegum. Judging from the bits they've released, it sticks to their dark indie-rock sound. Known for top-of-the-register vocals, splinky guitar lines, and, of course, the surgeon masks the band members wear to remind listeners who are not versed in literalism that their name relates to the medical field, the Liverpudlians can luckily transcend their shtick live. More good news: You probably won't get bird flu from them.
