Addicted to the dumpling truck around the corner? Obsessed with the goat curry down the block? Well, now you can get all your favorite street treats in one place. Parked: Food Truck Fest has rounded up the city’s best trucks and parked them on Governors Island for a day of glorious culinary indulgence. Rickshaw Dumpling—a finalist at last year’s “Vendy Awards”—will be in attendance, cooking up several varieties of their tasty dumplings. Jamaican Dutchy Truck will make its presence known with spicy Jamaican jerk chicken and fried plantains. Also making the trek will be Red Hook Lobster Pound, Hallo Berlin, Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream, and the Cinnamon Snail, who’ll be taking care of all the vegans in the crowd. Beer will also be available, just in case you haven’t already hit your calorie quota. The highlight of the day just might be the food-themed photo booth, prepped and ready to document your descent into food-coma heaven.
