Dir. Roman Polanski (1967).
Polanskis best genre flick and funniest comedy, more evocatively known in Europe as Waltz of the Vampires, is a lushly atmospheric, deeply East European send-up. The fairytale mise-en-scene is all the more haunting for the presence of the filmmaker and his doomed wife, Sharon Tate.
