The reverence for Biggie and Pac is still mandatory, but Jigga and Slim have established themselves as genuinely worthy heirs. It's been years since the superb, Em-produced "Renegade" showcased him as the only guest rapper on Jay's The Blueprint, so expect the same intensity from tonight's reunion, even if their more recent output hasn't been as strong. That's the silver lining to dying young, or at least retiring early; you don't have to make your Blueprint 3 or Relapse.
