The Posies
Last year, 120 Minutes mainstays the Posies played their classic 1993 power-alternative LP Frosting on the Beater (remember "Dream All Day"?) in its entirety. Tonight, they're playing new album Blood/Candy, which comes out Tuesday, in toto. Judging from "Licenses to Hide," the track they leaked a few months back, the album replaces any remnants of the Posies' '90s apathy with theatricality and even more power-pop sensibilities, as they've done on their last few records and since guitarist-vocalist Jon Auer spent some time in Big Star.
