Do you ever have those dreams in which you’re giving a speech and suddenly you realize you have no clothes on? Exposing too much of yourself can be scary, but that’s exactly what the provocative art collective Openings aims to do in their new group show Naked Measures. We don’t mean to say there will be tons of nudity—rather, this show is all about uncovering the “elusive mystery of spirit, body, and soul” through personal works of photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Artists baring their souls at the beautiful old Church of St. Paul the Apostle include Tom Bovo, Lori Merhige, Lauren Gohara, Joey Kilrain, and the Voice’s own Araceli Cruz. Opening part September 30, from 7 to 9.
