IN SEARCH OF FREEDOM

John Guare's A Free Man of Color

Playwright John Guare has often made free with American history—the utopians of Lydie Breeze, the strategists and raconteurs of A Few Stout Individuals. Now he’s turned his limpid gaze on early America in A Free Man of Color. Under George C. Wolfe’s direction, Guare’s post-Revolutionary New Orleans teems with the likes of Veanne Cox, Jeffrey Wright, mos, and Paul Dano.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Wednesdays, Saturdays, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: Oct. 21. Continues through Jan. 9, 2010
