With a long football legacy dating back to the 1930s "Seven Blocks of Granite" team—featuring guard Vince Lombardi—that many still regard as one of the best offensive and defensive squads ever, the Fordham Rams are ramping up their program. Last year, the school announced they would once again be offering football scholarships (for the first time since 1954), which opened the door for them to play higher-caliber teams, such as Connecticut in 2011 and Navy and Villanova in 2012. As the Rams gear up, a trip to the Bronx to see them take on the Lafayette Leopards is highly recommended. Watch for Fordham's sophomore quarterback, Blake Wayne, who has twice received honorable mentions as NCAA quarterback performer of the week.
