Fresh off his Academy Award win this year for Best Original Song (for Crazy Heart), songwriter and producer T-Bone Burnett has assembled the Speaking Clock Revue, featuring a house band supporting the likes of Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp, and odd-couple collaborators Elton John and Leon Russell. Also appearing tonight are Gregg Allman, grizzled country folk archetype Ralph Stanley, Punch Brothers, Karen Elson, My Morning Jacket's Jim James, and even old Crazy Heart himself, His Dudeness: Jeff Bridges. The best part: You won't be seeing all that wild hair for nothing. Tonight's ticket sales benefit music and arts education in public schools.
