THERE SHE IS . . .
A beauty pageant all its own
JonBenet wouldn't stand a chance at this show. When your idea of beauty might lead you to favor a wearer of bow-ties, a "genderblender" go-go dancer, a "Power Bitch Femme Shark," or a dandy, rather than, let's say, a perfectly coiffed blond baton-spinner, then you belong at Murray Hill's annual Miss Lez Pageant. Six contestants representing various lesbian scenes in the city—"including Bed-Stuy"—face off tonight for a chance to win $100 in cash, a six-pack of PBR, and the most coveted of all personal vibrators, the legendary Hitachi Magic Wand. (Not that the winner will need the wand; that kind of status almost certainly guarantees some play.) Our own Michael Musto is one of the judges who will throw down the gauntlet during the contestant interviews (other categories include swimsuit, eveningwear, and talent). Watch out, ladies, he's a toughie.
