Just for truth in advertising, the proper billing should be "Alan Wilder, formerly of Depeche Mode." True, he had an 11-year tenure, but he left the group 15 years ago. During that time, his role as synth wizard (see "Violator") was important; since then, Recoil has been his outlet to prove that he didn't dig the pop side of DM.
